The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Misamis Occidental in collaboration with OTOP HUB Philippines - Misamis Occidental launched the #LoveLokal Christmas campaign at the Buhat sa MisOcc Otop Hub on Wheels at Puregold Ozamiz.
The campaign is to encourage local consumers to patronize local products for the upcoming holiday season.
More than 40 MSMEs and around 70 products were highlighted on the bazaar that features the bounties of Misamis Occidental.
DTI’s “Buy Local, Go Local” aims to increase engage both the public and private sectors to support local businesses and entrepreneurs by buying local products and availing services.
Dubbed as "Love Local, Buy Local and Give Local," the initiative of DTI Misamis Occidental is the new normal version of conducting trade fairs, DTI Provincial Director Jane Tabucan said.
“We call on all Misamisnons to patronize local products and services and support our MSMEs here in Misamis Occidental,” she added.
Tabucan also emphasized the importance of MSMEs in revitalizing the economy amid the pandemic and the fast recovery of the small businesses.
